Though the trek is offered all around the year except monsoon, summers are the ideal time to enjoy the more vibrant colors of the landscape.

Har Ki Dun visits the hanging village of Oslo that is famous for its Someshwar Devta temple (Lord Shiva)! The villagers of Oslo are always happy about two other things. One is that their village is in the Himalayas and the second, that they enjoy the facility of satellite phones. More towards the Chilurgad you pass from the famous spot of the confluence of Thamasa and Ruinsara River.

The hike to Har Ki Doon connects to visit many mythological spots from Hindu mythology. It is believed that this valley has a past with the age of the Mahabharata. According to the locals, the eldest brother of the Pandavas, Yudhishthira, scaled the Himalayan peak ‘Swargarohini’ on his way to heaven. Besides, you will also find the only Duyudhan temple at Oslo along the way to har ki doon valley
